I attempted it by going ahead and using the 'Fast' option which quickly overclocks my system and without me having to do anything at all. Sorry this has caused you distress. Just to clear up - the AUTO OC options you see on other vendor X58 boards aren't AUTO Tuning - they use a preset overclock, which is what we offer on the R3E in the form of CPU Level Up.
OC TUNER is a bit more involved than that because it overclocks the system on a case by case basis according to temperature and stability, adjusting bus speeds and multipliers as needed by running some tests.
So in effect what you get on the R3E is exactly what GBT, MSI and ASRock offer in terms of automated overclocking.
